Public Sector Training Package (PSP04) |
The Public Sector training package is a resource designed specifically for Commonwealth and State/Territory public sector agencies. It sets out the competencies (or skills and knowledge) required by people working in a public sector environment, such as ethics and accountability, legislation and compliance, occupational health and safety, policy implementation, service delivery and project management.
There are 57 qualifications in the Public Sector training package. Many have application to all public sector organisations, whilst others are specialist qualifications developed for specific job functions, select agencies or specialist positions.
Traineeships
The following qualifications from the Public Sector training package can be delivered as traineeships in NSW.
• Certificates II, III and IV in Government
• Certificates III and IV in Government (Land Administration)
• Certificates III and IV in Government (Court Compliance)
• Certificate IV in Government (Financial Services)
• Certificate IV in Government (Occupational Health and Safety)
• Certificate IV in Government (Project Management)
• Certificate IV in Government (Service Delivery)
• Certificate IV in Government (Procurement)
• Certificate IV in Government (Investigation)
• Certificate IV in Government (Statutory Compliance)
• Certificate IV in Government (Court Services)
• Certificate IV in Government (Injury Claims Administration)
• Certificate IV in Government (Injury Rehabilitation Management)
• Certificate IV in Government (Road Transport Compliance)
Traineeships are jobs that combine work and structured training. New employees and existing employees may be enrolled as trainees as long as they meet the eligibility criteria. Organisations may also be eligible to receive State and Commonwealth incentives and subsidies to assist with the cost of traineeships.
